Notice of Last Date to Claim Capital Credits- 2010  | click here for second notice

In compliance with O.C.G.A. 44-12-236 of the Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act, Oconee EMC is attempting to locate former members whose unclaimed capital credit checks were issued in 2005 but which have been returned by the U.S. Post Office as “undeliverable” or have otherwise been unclaimed.

A current list of these members with their last known addresses and instructions for claiming these funds is posted on our website at www.oconeeemc.com. Persons may view the unclaimed list during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at any of our four locations.  The last possible date to claim these refunds is September 30, 2010. 

If funds are not claimed by this date, they will be donated for approved uses, as permitted by O.C.G.A. 44-12-236.
